Silver Lace Corsican Hellebore is an evergreen perennial that thrives in shady locations. Its
beautiful silver foliage with green veins seems to brighten as the weather cools. Pale green to
cream flowers are produced in the late winter and early spring. Although the flowers are attractive,
they aren't that showy and the main attraction of this plant is its silver coarse-textured foliage which has more
spines than other varieties of hellebores.
Plant Silver Lace Corsican Hellebore in partial to full shade with organic, loose, moist but well-drained
soil. Provide some protection from strong sunlight during the winter months. If your garden is plagued
with deer, hellebores are an excellent choice as they are seldom bothered.
Use this plant in a shade or woodland garden. Good companion plants include:
ferns,
hostas (if there are no deer),
sedges,
foam flower and
variegated solomon's seal.
